Power Love is the debut Ep from Lion, an english/american band, wich has the presence of Doug Aldrich( Dio, Whitesnake) on guitars work, one of my favourite guitarists.

Is a hard rock/melodic rock , the EP has six tracks, wich are later re-recording in a full length album.

Good album anyway.

Second studio album from Slaughter, another great work from this American band.

Frontline - Heroes- 1997

Third release from these great band, after their second work focused on an acoustic album, they back to their melodic rock roots. Including a outstanding ballad ¨Break my heart again¨, where the voice of Stephan Kaemmerer gives a soft and emotional touch, as the entire album.

Overall, a good hard rock/melodic rock album.

Running Wild - Under Jolly Roger - 1987

Under Jolly Roger is the name of the third album from Running Wild, and the beginning of their ¨pirate metal¨ concept on part of their songs's lyrics.

A great metal album, where it begins to show the sound that would come later, in next works.

Universe - Bad child - 1992

Universe is a german band and ¨Bad child¨ is their debut album. Is a good hard rock/melodic metal album from start to finish. Universe had a short career, but their stuff is of great quality

FRONTLINE - THE STATE OF ROCK - 1994

 

Frontline is another great band from Germany, who owns their own sound. ¨The state of rock¨ is their debut album which shows the great style of the band. Elaborated armonies on keyboards, a great array of guitars, and a clean and especial work on vocals, make this album a outstanding hard rock/melodic rock release. Is considered for many as their best work.

Second release from Running Wild, another one great album, follow the same line of their previous work,¨Gates to purgatory¨. If you like their first work, well, you must hear this.

At the end of this work onwards begins the history of their recognized ¨pirate metal ¨

DAVE MENIKETTI - MENIKETTI - 2002

The second studio solo album by Dave Meniketti, the lead guitar from Y&T band. A outstanding album, mainly focused on the bluesrock. One of my favorite guitar players and a great voice too. If is Meniketti, well...pure class.

Wicked Sensation - Crystallized - 2010

 

 Crystallized is the name of the third album from Wicked Sensation. 

A good album, maybe with a different direction compared to their previous works, but keeping the band's style. A melodic/heavy metal album with some hard rock.

Wicked Sensation - Exceptional - 2004

 Wicked Sensation's second work.  These german guys follow the same line of their debut album. Exceptional is a great album, with a direct sound, freaking guitar arragement, some of the tracks have a good balance between the melodic/heavy metal parts as shown in ¨ Your beat inside my heart¨, one of my favourite tracks.

A good album anyway.

Wicked Sensation - Reflected - 2001

Debut album from the german band Wicked Sensation, a great melodic/heavy metal album.

It's entirely a good album, a strong debut no doubt.

Germany is home from very good and worlwide recognized bands, and Wicked Sensation is an example of that talent.

Sargant Fury - Still want more - 1991

Still Want More, Sargant Fury's first album. An impressive work, very well done, with catchy tunes, a powerful sound, great freaking guitars, an couple of fantastic melodic power ballads, and last but  not least important, the remarkable voice of Andrew Mc Dermott.

 Overall, is an amazing Hard Rock/Heavy Metal album. 

Will not disappoint you.

Mcauley Schenker Group - Save yourself - 1989

  

The second work of this great band, with much more energy than their previous work. Remarkable vocal work of Robin Mcauley, and outstanding guitar work of Steve Mann and Michael Schenker. Including the awesome ballad ¨Anytime¨, one of my favourites album's tracks. Great album, no doubt.

I recommend it.

Spitfire - First attack - 1987

 

The first album from this band of Greek origin, an exceptional album from start to finish. When i first heard it i was pleasantly surprised, perfect dose of hard rock and heavy metal, a remarkable array of guitars, plus a couple of notable ballads . It is one of those great bands that go unnoticed without much success. Absolutely recommended.

DAVE MENIKETTI - ON THE BLUE SIDE - 1998

The first solo album from the genius of Y & T, one of my favorite guitarists. The album shows his love for the Blues, like so many other guitarists. Complicity between the Blues and the romantic ballad, and some rock n roll. Perfect
